ToomeySheeLE Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Recently brought my banshee up to the place I'm staying at school, and looking to get it out on a frozen lake.. Problem is, I dont have many tools up here and its not wanting to run too smooth.. Its a ported 4mm, Cpi's, 35pwks I have it jetted fairly rich, 160mains 55 pilots, cel needle one spot down from the center.. I can get is started with full choke, and need to play around between throttle and choke to get it to keep running when its cold.. when its finally warmed up enough to ride, I give it a shot of gas and it often falls on its face and dies.. then can take a shit load of kicks to bring to a run again....which i find weird.. I think my airscrews are about 3 turns out, could it be as simple as turning them in to get this thing on its feet again? If its as simple as that I feel stupid posting this, but Im sitting at college bored out of my mind.. nothing better to do.. Thanks for any help.. Brad Quote
jbooker82 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 I would say your pilots are plenty big. That is probably why it will start when the engine is cold. Then once you warm the engine up and you need to restart it is is way rich. A rich engine is hard to start when warm. Quote
ToomeySheeLE Posted February 4, 2009 Author Report Posted February 4, 2009 Ah.. Well I was running it with this jetting in the summer/fall I knew it was a bit rich then, but wasnt having near the issue with it that I am now.. If I cant figure anything simple out in the next few days I'll take it home on the weekend and put the tools to her.. Quote
jbooker82 Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Try turing your air scews to 1 turn out and see if it starts easier or harder when warm. Quote
