2B1ASK1 Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 (edited) I am doing a ground up build, and am piecing together parts as I go along. Majority of everything is brand new. I came across a 1999 banshee engine complete and am not too concerned about its past. I plan on opening it up and replacing everything that is questionable to include transmission and crankshaft (trued and welded). I am even powder coating the engine cases and have a 400 PV Cheetah kit to put on it. He is also giving me the frame with it and in talking to him, he stated that it possibly has a place on it that was welded due to a crack. Has anyone here had a cracked frame and still use it. To me, the frame is not the place to mess around. The engine comes complete and I get the radiator along with that. If these parts are serviceable, that is money that I do not have to spend, which is cool to me. I am paying 500 for the engine and whatever else I want. Worst case scenario, if I don't like what I see, I walk away. I have seen pictures, but we all know, what is seen in pics and in person may be two different things. The cylinders are 392cc and it has a stage IV head. What are your thoughts? Edited February 1, 2009 by 2B1ASK1 Quote
