AKheathen Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 ok i just got this banshee i traded a kfx400 for it i cant get it to run has compression is getting gas but only one plug sparks so i bought a new coil still only one plug bought another still only one plug bought a stator and cdi and wiring harness still only one plug sparks anyone have any way for me to figure out what the damn problem is either the cap, or wire on that cylinder. unscrew the caps (boots) and trim the wire 1/4'' and put new ones on. or did the coils come with them? MikeNick Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 either the cap, or wire on that cylinder. unscrew the caps (boots) and trim the wire 1/4'' and put new ones on. or did the coils come with them? Thats what I was gonna say..Check the wires and see if the one side not firing is making spark, also do what AKheathen said..Maybe get a new set while your swappn everything else with new... Quote
yammyboy3 Posted January 27, 2009 Author Report Posted January 27, 2009 coil came with new everything is new i hit the gap down to almost nothing and it fires now all the bike wants to do is give a loud ass pop every now and then Quote
killshee Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 sounds like a bad ground to me jump ur black wire on ur coil strait to your frame and see what happens if it starts than its a bad ground but b carefull bc it u bolt it fast u have no whay to shut it off unless u cut the wire Quote
lowbuckracing Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 use one side of a match book to set ur flywheel gap,if there is no feeler gauge available.Replace both coil wires and caps, also take the coil off and make sure your surface where your coil mounts is nice and clean.Do you have adjustable timming plate? yammyboy3 Posted January 27, 2009 Author Report Posted January 27, 2009 yea last night i regapped the plugs and now i have spark but i still cant get the damn thing to start all it does is back fire every now and then Quote
vulvafan537240 Posted January 27, 2009 Report Posted January 27, 2009 what do the plugs look like? if you had a no spark condition, that plug is prolly fouled. Quote
