my bike is drag ported, stay away for normal riding. go with a woods port if you ride casually

All the diffrent type of port jobs will tune the engine to operate best in a given range,ie. Dune, aggressive trail, drag, each one is used to complement a riding style. The dune port are more top end focused and the play or woods port wake up the low to midrange all this stuff along with your pipes, reeds, carbs will deliver power more efficiently for whatever type of riding you wish to do. There are alot of knowledgeable people on this forum they should chime in sooner or later. You can always contact one of the builders on here and talk to them, remember not all ports are going to be identical. One guys dune port maybe another guys drag port. Just keep that stuff in mind.

Thanks, will keep that in mind.

Drag type ports are designed to make peak horsepower over a very small rpm range at high rpms and typically have little to no power in the low-mid range, they are usually described as a "light switch"

Dune type ports are designed to make peak horsepower in the mid to top area of the power curve. They typically have a more broad useable power band than the drag ports but are more peaky and build power at a higher rpm than a trail type port.

Ahaa, I get it now. Thanks a lot. I will stick with the Dune Port.

Different exhaust systems are designed to make peak horse power at different specific rpm's/rpm ranges. Cylinder porting and tuned exhausts should complement each other IMHO. Like has already been said... One guys dune port is another guys who knows what
