MikeNick Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 PC won't hold up. V&L Powdercoating in Apple Valley, Ca gave my T5's a good ceramic coat & bake! Don't they make high temp PC? Whats a rough price on what they charged to Ceramic coat your T-5's Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 PC is high temp, it get's baked as well but don't think they make powder to take on headers.. Could be wrong.... Paid $110 for my headers! Quote
theeechozen1 Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I wanna get my t-5s done in ceramic, How much are you guys paying to have the silver coating done?? Im guessing they have to bead blast all the chrome off first. Quote
FadedDreams Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I had mine done in 2004,so i'm not sure what it would be now.Mine were bare pipes to begin with,so they might charge extra to blast them.I paid $135 just for the pipes,no silencers.I think he told me it would have been like $150 if i would have gotten everything done at once. They are easy to take care of,clean with soap and water then you can polish them back up with Mother's or whatever polish you like.Mine aren't looking the best, but its my lack of keeping them cleaned up and polished.IF you do they once or twice a year, they should look good for a long time. motavated Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 how much shine does jet hot have is it close to a polished im sending a few things to nitro plate and they have close to the same product just wondering thanks Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 My price included a sandblast cleanup! Quote
FadedDreams Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 They won't compare to a good show chrome, but they have a nice shine to them.If you have ever seen a set of Po Circuits, thats what i would compare them to.I think they use a nickel type coating, its not as nice as a chrome, but it still looks good. Especially after a good polishing. Quote
Snopczynski Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 The ones in my sig pic are ceramic coated by performance coatings. Quote
