Well I'm bringing myself up to speed very quickly on the exciting world of banshees, and trying to figure out everything that has been done, both good and bad, to mine. It's had the tors removed, and the idle screws drilled and tapped, but they appear not to lift the slides high enough, even when screwed in all the way to make it idle. It looks like the previous owner was using the cable adjusters on the top to raise the slides and make it idle. the screws and lock nuts I have look identical to the ones in all the kits. Can I trim the bosses down to allow the screw to reach further in? you can see where the screws contact the cut away on the slides, and all the way in they only contact the upper 1/2. Thanks

When you install the idle screws on your stock carbs you need to grind about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch off of the bosses so the screws will be long enough.
