dajogejr Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 It's a good thing that 1000 cc motor they plan on butt fucking into that frame doesn't have a kick starter, I'd hate to have a project of that size held up because someone doesn't have the knowledge or skill to remove a screw on a stock banshee kick starter. That thing, as well as this are going to be abortions that just should've happened. Kinda like you two. Quote
FireHead Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Did someone do a hand port job on that thing? Quote
gregrob Posted January 20, 2009 Author Report Posted January 20, 2009 Not sure mark. Any opinions you have on the porting are welcome. I thought about sending it to Lynn to be ported. Gonna need some case work as well. The other top case wasn't too healthy. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 hahahahahaha... thats what i thought. skip right over my post like you never saw it.. Quote
wesw Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 is that a 4mm with like a 75mm or 78mm bore??? while at camerons shop he said the twisters seem to make more broad power but the cub made more of it. that billet cnc machining is pretty cool though. Quote

Gonna need some case work as well. The other top case wasn't too healthy. The Twister cylinders have the ports milled on a 5-axis CNC mill via a surfacing technique. This results in the nice, even cutting paths you can see in there. The "boost ports," for lack of a better term, on the side of the intake, looks like someone was down in there with a die grinder or something. Lynn is a good worker for sure. I'm sure he'll put a good engine together for you. Quote
FireHead Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 is that a 4mm with like a 75mm or 78mm bore??? The Twister small blocks are usually larger than traditional bore sizes. The 78mm seems to be quite popular. :geek: Quote
FireHead Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 It's a good thing that 1000 cc motor they plan on butt fucking into that frame That's funny, I don't care who you are............... I am going to use that as my new term at work this week for doing something. Quote
alcoholbanshee Posted January 21, 2009 Report Posted January 21, 2009 The Twister small blocks are usually larger than traditional bore sizes. The 78mm seems to be quite popular. :geek: That I know of the biggest small blocks start at 75mm on first bore and end at 77mm on last bore. The big blocks can be had with a larger bore............... Quote
gregrob Posted January 21, 2009 Author Report Posted January 21, 2009 I might have it ported by Lynn, not put together. I thought 75mm was the biggest commercially available small block as well. Mine is a 71mm. Quote
