Manuel Shee Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 first of all, thanks, well there are no leaks, today i synced and adjusted the carburetors and cleaned the sparks plugs and checked everything, i was wonderin if the needle can be the reason? Quote
travis6767 Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 check the reeds, make sure all the reed petals are there Quote
Manuel Shee Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 well, i haven't check the reeds but it was everything fine then the mechanic just changed th epistons and nothing else he also told me that he adjusted the carb for that altitude( around 1000mts) but i have already adjusted the screws, synched and everything Sorry For My Bad englis:D:D Quote

Manuel Shee Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 Well, I tried searching the airscrews.. but where the heck are those. the hose is fitted and perfect, the boost bottle too.. so what else i can try Quote
AKheathen Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 Well, I tried searching the airscrews.. but where the heck are those.the hose is fitted and perfect, the boost bottle too.. so what else i can try ahh... if you look from the left side, there is a little flathead screw at an angle on the side twards the airbox. a good starting point is 1.5 turns out, and, once it's at operating temperature, turn them in or out the same amount on both, untill the idle is the highest. the right carb will take a long shank to reach Quote
Manuel Shee Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 ok, so that little screw in each carb is the air screw, or the fuelscrew? i adjusted it 2 out like the yamaha's mainteanance manual said but my shee has pipes, ignition and a little things Quote
AKheathen Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 (edited) ok, so that little screw in each carb is the air screw, or the fuelscrew?i adjusted it 2 out like the yamaha's mainteanance manual said but my shee has pipes, ignition and a little things the manual's adjustment is for a stockker. generally, on a modded bike, 1.5 is a better place to start, but once, it's warmed up, you adjust for the highest idle to get the proper mixture. if it runs best at less than one turn, then bump a jet size on the pilot, and more than 2 turns, drop a size. oh, and it's an airscrew, to answer your q Edited January 15, 2009 by AKheathen Quote
Manuel Shee Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 Well thank you a lot, tomorrow i will try to adjust everything, and i will check the reed valve and the needle(position) i will bring you news, Tank ou all! Quote
