mignumspeed Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 there is a little hose by the water pump hose coming out of the engine where does this hose go to and what is it ive built this thing from the ground up i cant seem to locate anything about it in the manual any ideas? Quote
AKheathen Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 I think it is a vent that runs to the rear of the motor and blows by the back of the case. it's a vent tuve that plugs in behind the water pump cover. 3 screws---> plug it backk in  Quote
Darthwall Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 ya no big deal I bought a cover that it was plugged off so its not a big deal I would vent it since that is what they did from the factory Quote
Dirty Sanchez Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 that little hose is your case vent. dont plug it off. Quote
fastrthnu Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 that little hose is your case vent. dont plug it off. I just left mine about 6 inches long. But It should tee off another vent hose near the rear of the engine up by the rear mount. the 2 are supposed to tee together and vent up near the radiator/handlebars. I think thats how its installed by Yamaha. I built mine from ground up too, so mine was never hooked up. Quote
Dirty Sanchez Posted January 11, 2009 Report Posted January 11, 2009 you are correct it does tee off and tie into the other vent lines. i just have heard of guys wanting to silicone the hole closed. Imo thats not a good plan. Quote
