has anyone used the impeller cover to drain most of the coolant? it's 15 below, and my bike's on the back porch. i'mm switching to dexcool(engine ice doesn't have a low enough freeze point) and i don't want to make a big mess, so i was thinkinf to pull the impeller covers and drain most of it that way, then do the drain plugs to get the rest. i can't really flush it and my propane heater froze up, so i don't want to flip it on it's side under the tarp.

just changed my coolant and other stuff. thaught i'd let u know it worked pretty good, i just dumped some new suff through it to get the old stuff out. same thing with the juggs when i had the cover back on. it gave me a chance to check the impellar too.

I normaly just pull the coolant tube off the pump but that doesnt get every last drop out so good work better than siphoning it out

Should have just left it man, it's warming up and will continue to over this coming week, or atleast that's what the news says... as we both know were better off looking out our window instead of listening to them haha, but it seems to be getting warmer slowly
