KaosBanshee44 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 I just went to there website and downloaded it manually instead of clicking the link that says you need this to view bla bla bla. I think your having the same problem i did but not for sure. If your having trouble with adobe just go to there website and downlaod the upgraded version or vice versus with other programs. Quote

fastbanshee8 Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 Click Start, then Run, and type chkdsk into the window, and press Enter. Let it run, and see if it finds any missing Windows files, or any unneeded files. If there are files missing, it will bring them back, and if some are no longer needed, it will delete them. Go to this link, Flash Player 9 Download, download Flash Player, and save it to your desktop. Reboot into safe mode, and try installing it from there. It maybe, that one of your security programs is blocking the install of Flash. Quote
375hp banshees Posted December 31, 2008 Author Report Posted December 31, 2008 alright that seemed to work my next question is does it say ""Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player."" on your screen & no video, if so how do you watch it from here. before the small video screen would be where it says ""hello... & you just hit play? maybe the format just changed & it's just me  but no matter what I click on, I cant view th video? same w/ this one http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=105980 when I click on the video I get ""This video requires Flash 8 or newer. Go to http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash to get it!"" where the video usually is( does it say that weather you have it or not?)...but if I click on full size, it pops up( & I can watch those)... is this normal ( It used to just bring up a screen & you watch it right away)maybe its just me, I hate change :verymad: Quote

Something is messing up your computer, or has messed it up already. I had a similar problem with my other computer a month or so ago. I finally figured out that there were several trojans on it, no thanks to my wife's niece, so I just wiped the hard drive clean, and re-installed everything. It was simpler, and quicker, than trying to find, and fix everything that had gotten screwed up. Sorry, but it sounds like you've been messing with this for a while now, and you've probably spent more time trying to fix the flash player, than it would have taken to wipe out the whole hard drive, and start over. It's worth a shot. Just for kicks, download this, and run a complete scan. Let me know if it finds anything, and if it does, delete it. Dr. Web Cure It Once you download it, and click scan, it will start to do the quick scan, but you need to hit the stop button once it starts scanning, and select full, or complete scan, and let it run, until it's done. It may take a while, but if there's bad crap on your computer, it will find it, and get rid of it. Keep us posted. Quote
