04YAMSHEE Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 i've got a 04 shee with fmf fattys and clamp on k&n's. i am running 310 mains and 27.5 pilots and i've had it this way for 2 years now. i had to take my carbs down again to replace the needle/seat. and i was thinking of setting the clip on the needle from the third to the forth because i have kinda had a midrange flat spot. does this sound like a good idea or just leave it alone? Paddleboy Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 you can try it out that is the only thing that will let ya know. but personaly i'd put the stock pilot back in. i got the same set up as you and it runs better with stock pilot Quote

Try it, it should make a difference you can see if it gets worse or better so you can tell if it is a lean spot or a rich spot, the pilots do not come into play at that throttle opening, i have always had good luck with 27.5 pilots on stock carbs but every bike is different.
