BanditOnTheBanshee Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 longer pod filters? i was wondering this when i was ordering foam pods, and chose to go with shorter ones because of worrying about them getting splashed from puddles. but what is the difference? i would imagine the longer have a little better airflow, but comon really? could it be that much more? Bansh-eman Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 if your riding in areas with water I wouldnt get pods, Now when you say spalshed by water what exactly do you mean? The reason guys get longer pods is becasue on bigger motors they need more air. Quote
dajogejr Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 Yep...if you're trail riding...wouldn't waste my time to be honest. Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 if you ride in water you might wanna consider using the stock air box with a pro flow kit or something that uses anything but the stock filter. you can always run the box with no lid. that will greatly reduce the risk of your motor sucking in some water. 05.Banshee.SE Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 You can trail ride with pods... I do and have no problems. If there is water...find a way around it, or find a way to hydro plane across it. Avoid it like the plague. Obviously if you go mud bogging and splashing through puddles, your bike will suck in water. Quote
BanditOnTheBanshee Posted December 20, 2008 Author Report Posted December 20, 2008 the pods are fine, i ride like a bitch if its wet out, primary riding is climbing coal banks and takin donkeys for rides at partys in the woods. Quote
