So I was cleaning my fmf fatties and the silencers and I took them off and when I was tightening them back up the rubber clamp that connects the fatties To the stinger(silencer right?) is ripped thru the middle, were would I buy one of these rubber clamps or can I use an alternative hose? Also I think were the fatties connects to the engine it is loose and do exhaust fumes leak thru there? And what would I need to do to fix this?

you can get the hose from a dealer or order from jeff (fast). To fix your pipes check and see if all the springs are holding the pipe on tightly and i think there is a gaskett between the two check that also

That's kind of steep for me, I just want either the stock one or do you guys think I can use some kind of hose like heater hose? and also I will check the springs to see if they are tight.

a friend of mine used some type of hose and when his pipes got hot, the hose caught on fire. luckily no major damage was done, but i wouldnt do it.

dealer sells them. one is like 12 and the other is like 22. get the rear exhaust coupler. i tried plumbing coupler, and it melted, cus i couldn't find it in rubber. it looks like heater hose (1" i.d.) but it's higer heat, and woven all the way through. the rubber just helps it flex and seal. i just broke down and ordered it red label with my intake, cus i tore that too the same time i melted that synthetic thing. had to wrap and clamp a chicken selects box to get back to my truck. wish i could have took a pick before it smoldered off. my friend said all he could smell is ranch. beat that for scented exhaust! :yelrotflmao:

I went to the auto part store and bought 1" water heater hose and hose clamps. Cost me about $3. Worked just as good as the $50 billet ones. With the FMF's, the joint is further back, so the plastic hides them anyways.

Your pipe o-rings could possibly be worn/bad, also. Rockymountainatv sells an FMF kit for the Fatty's with springs and o-rings for $9.99.
