docjcwatson Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Sound to me like you might want to look at some adjustment at the lever. Make sure the arrows are correct on top of the cases also. Quote
Corndiddly5885 Posted December 10, 2008 Author Report Posted December 10, 2008 well wen the clutch went out the second i tighten up the lever thinking it was to lose or something and screw come out even more. wat arrows are u talking about? i just cant picture them right now Quote
wayfast1500 Posted December 10, 2008 Report Posted December 10, 2008 Same thing happened to me, the previous owner never put the lock nut or washer back on, and it backed out when I was riding=no clutch and no moving. So make sure you have that on there because it shouldnt be backing off that fast. Theres the lever where the cable connects on the top of the trans under the carbs, and a little arrow on the block. You take the cable off and turn that screw to get them to line up, then tighten the lock nut back down. The rest of the free play can be adjusted at the perch. Quote
