BlueTurtle005 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 I replaced my COOLANT RESERVOIR OVERFLOW tank and forgot where both hoses coming out of the overflow tank connect to. Any help would be great thank you. Quote
Wiz Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 seems like there is only 1 hose that goes from the overflow bottle to the overflow pipe on the radiator rite under the cap, if there is another hose it is a overflow for the bottle to drain in case it gets to full and that would go down to the bottom of the bike where it can leak on the ground.... People still run those bottles??? Quote
98_shee Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 The hose coming out of the bottom of the tank go the the radiator under the cap. The hose coming out of the top of the tank is the overflow hose. Quote
FASTOYS Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 What he said , and it usually goes to atmosphere and in stock location is above the right side header pipe area. Quote

KaosBanshee44 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 I don't know to many people that actually use that overflow tank. I wish i would have kept mine and used it as a purge kit system. Quote

BlueTurtle005 Posted December 3, 2008 Author Report Posted December 3, 2008 Thats what i thought. Now my other question is. I have a hose coming out of under my water pump and connects to a T from the T one connects to the back of the motor near the rear shock and the other one is connected to nothing. Is that normal or should the 2 hoses from the T connect to something. Thanks Quote

I routed mine up a little bit and back down so stuff cant easly get in them but otherwise got rid of the whole t-setup and all.. makes things much cleaner.. Can kinda see the front one in this pic.. Can see it a bit better in this second pic I just found. Cant find one for the rear but same idea.. RIPPEN Quote
