regalrocket Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Has anyone installed aftermarket ball joints in stock arms? From looking at it, it doesn't look to be all that hard. The stock mounting plate can easily be removed, and then a sleeve setup at the proper angle welded in, then you can just install bolt in ball joints. Has anyone done this before? Thanks. Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 i wouldnt bother with the stock junk, but thats just me. youd prolly be better off in the long run just buying some arms.. or if you need new ball joints, just buy a new set of stock arms. a lot less hassle. Quote
2001Stroker Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 If you're set on doing that, someone a while back said that Ford Ranger (I think) balljoints are the same size. You might be able to dig something up on that by using the search. But on the flip side, I agree with loco. Just buy some aftermarket arms. Quote
THE GRIM RIPPER Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Not worth the wire and gas you would use..... Quote
