Just to let you all know there is a pretty nice set-up banshee in the January 09 issue of ATV Rider... The only problem is its by Duncan racing... Not a big fan, but it is pretty nice and its in a Dunefest 08 story that the mag. is doing

Yeah I saw that issue at the store the other day and bought one. It's nice to see a Banshee on the front cover of a mag for a change.... don't see that too often anymore.

Yeah they really should, it may be 20 year old technology, but it still kicks the crap out of the new "high perf." quads

they went crazy on that thing! 1500 bucks for a swingarm? wtf is so much better about a 3 times as much swinger? other than that I was imressed. most banshee pics I've seen in a magazine for several years....

Actually it says it costs $1595! It's a Laeger +4 round housing swinger. It is chrome. That is alot of money!

yeah ive been getting that magazine for about 6 months now and thats the first banshee ive seen in there. best issue ive seen by far. those pt pipes are bad ass

it must be hand forged, filed, and plated 20 times, just in case you scratch it............alot

You know I did have to send a letter to the editor about it though, which I hope they publish. After reading "You'd be hard pressed to find a faster and more reliable banshee without swapping out the motor or running on alcohol." I was a little annoyed, so I sent a letter that said "If you guys plan to do an article on a banshee or any quad for that matter, atleast make it accurate and use and a good builder." I then listed Kevin Herr, Jeff at F.A.S.T., and Brandon at Wildcard Racing, and said I garuntee that any of these builders 4mil stock bore banshee's will keep up with that duncan racing shee. Then stated there are multiple other good builders that can do the same and asked him to check out the HQ here just to see what actually happens in the world of banshee.

Yes I wasn't meaning it should cost that much, I was saying 1600 IS alot of money! If I had sixteen hundred dollars to spend on mods I'd only use around five hundred of it on a swinger and spread the rest around in other areas.

 

It is a nice swinger, though.

Well I would like you to show me another builder that has won more races with a banshee motor than Duncan Racing, well no need to look because you wont find one. Not to knock any other builders because there are alot of very good ones also, but Duncan has the banshee motor nailed to the tee.
