GhostRider Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Hello guys I blow my banshee up yesterday when i was riding ... i did a compressor left cylinder 55psi and right cylinder 123psi .. so i pulled the head off, removed the pistons and cylinders, left piston is too bad and one ring is gone from the damage.. It's time to rebuild my banshee... Stock pistons and stock clyinders...i found number "25" on the top of the pistons.. the guy that i bought the banshee from he said the cylinders never been bored and stock pistons "0" ... I'm going to buy Wiseco Pistons kit, what size i need to go for? and how do i know if my cylinders needs to be bored...there's no scratches in the cylinder wall..do i need to bore for Wiseco? if yes what size... another question: if i want to install new stock piston, do i need to bore? or just honing? Thanks. Quote
travis6767 Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 you need to take the cylinders to a machine shop so they can mic it and see where they are really at, then they can tell you how much you need to bore it to get all the scratches out, and i would go with the wiesco kit, make sure you check your crank to see if its still in good shape, if you have a stock head i would go with the cometic gasket set Quote
