blackedout96 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the best Tranny Oil and Coolant to use in a Banshee. The manual says any 10w30 motor oil, but then I go to my local Yamaha dealer and they give me 10w40 Yamalube Tranny oil. As far as coolant, I really don't know what's best.... Let me know what you think. Thanks! Quote
2001Stroker Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 you're gonna get 5,000 different answers. search it at the top right corner. as far as coolant, just make sure you have enough antifreeze in your water for your climate. if you use engine ice, it freezes at i think -17ish. Quote
05.Banshee.SE Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Engine Ice coolant, GearSaver oil, Castor 927 oil (mix). I live in FL so I need heat protection, and no antifreeze shit. Quote
clinton588 Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 I run Motol Trans oil 10w30, 50/50 antifreeze, and Castor 927 @ 40/1. This has worked for me. My motor has been together for 3 years on this set up. But every one has there own set up. Quote
nameehsnab Posted November 12, 2008 Report Posted November 12, 2008 Engine Ice, Castrol type F and Klotz Super Techniplate (40:1) Quote
