This winter i am looking to set up a few ice races in West Michigan, Nunica to be exact. There is a great body of water that freezes over very early in the year and produces thick ice fast. I have a 4x4 quad with a plow so that should be enough but another 4x4 quad with a plow wouldnt hurt. Im thinking about setting up a killer track for ice racing and setting up a straight track for drag racing. If anyone is intersted let me know. There isnt much of anything on this side of the state and thought it would be a good time to get out and rip on the ice this winter. If anyone has cones we could use that would be great, if not i will think of something....so far its,

I could possibly make it out and give it a try. Its only 10 minutes from my house. You get it all set and word will spread and people will come.

hey joel,

your best bet is probly to go out there a few times and test plowing a track and getting everything setup, that way if you have guys that make a trip and its your first time they dont get discouraged because you havent worked out all the minor kinks.

Also keep in mind if you make an event and someone gets hurt you can be held liable for it. plus i am not sure bout the laws in Mi but if its on public land you might need to get permits so your not breaking the law. might look a little into that too just to cover your 6

that is some very good points. I used my 4x4 to plow the ice last year for dirtbike ice racing and it worked well. For the permit, in michigan you dont need one. You dont even need a ORV sticker to ride on the ice. For the liability, i will have to type something up and have everyone sign it so i dont get fucked. It really sucks how people are now days...i would never hold anyone liable for a accident i caused......great ideas...I will plow the tracks off the night before as well to make sure its perfect so if anyone comes from anykind of distance they arnt let down

i would be up for it for sure. i live in detroit now. but my parents live only about 20 mins from there. i did it a few years agow it some freinds. it was a blast. the only issue is how serious you guys will get, cuz i dont have studded tires and am not really intrested in buyin a set just to race once or twice a year. but other than that. im game. could prolly help plan if you wanted or needed.

as to dajogejr.....if we planned it out, we could load ur quad in my bed and make a day trip outta it if you would like.

im sure my 2 brothers would join as well, but they dont have banshee's.lol.

keep the plans posted please or pm me if i can help at all

Thanks for the offer, Bronco...but with Lake St. Clair 25 minutes away and a lot of my buds being out there every weekend both days, hard for me to justify that much driving, etc.....

Never know...maybe!
