OKCterror Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 im running maxxis razors in the back and kenda klaws up front. the back says max psi at 30lbs and the front say max 5lbs operating psi. What would be a good psi to stay with for running flat, packed dirt/sand trails? Usually go 20-25 in back and 10-13 up front-Dan Quote
NOS_350x Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 WOW dude talk about over inflateing them. Dont exceed 35psi WHEN SETTING THE BEAD!!! MAX operating pressure, is 15 lbs I never exceed 6 psi, but normaly run in the 3-5 psi range. Quote
2001Stroker Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 WOW dude talk about over inflateing them. No kiddin, I keep mine right at 4psi. I'm not a flat tracker, but like 350x said, keep it between 3-5. Quote
OKCterror Posted November 4, 2008 Author Report Posted November 4, 2008 both front and rear or just fronts? Quote
2001Stroker Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 both front and rear or just fronts? All 4 corners, bro. I'll bet your bike is squirrely as hell with that much air in the tires. The more air that's in the tires, the more the center of the tires bubbles out. If you have less air, the tires sits more flat, and you get more traction. Quote
NOS_350x Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 These arnt radial car tires, If you keep the kind of pressure you want to put in them in 6 months they will strech big time, your going to gain an inch or two. From keeping that kind of pressure in them. Quote
2001Stroker Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 so 3-5 lbs is good? Dude, seriously. Look at your very first post. It says that the front tires say on them "MAX 5LBS OPERATING PSI". Max means maximum, no more than, do not put more than, etc.....They're idiot-proof. Same goes for the rear. 3-5lbs. I'm not trying to get shitty with you, but you keep asking the same exact question over and over. Plus, I just got off work. I'm tired and hungry. Quote
OKCterror Posted November 5, 2008 Author Report Posted November 5, 2008 i just sent a pizza to your door.lol. Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 NOS_350x and 2001Stroker are right... 5 lbs in the front, 4 lbs in the rear, and 3 lbs in my paddles...thats where I keep em. Quote
2001Stroker Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 i just sent a pizza to your door.lol. The pizza man must've got lost. He probably had too much air in his tires and slid off the road. Just kiddin. Quote
