hotrodbanshee Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Just checked the compression on my shee and I have 170psi left cylinder and 150psi right cylinder. She runs great. I did notice that the sparkplug is lighter in color on the left piston than the right. Should I rebuild? If I keep running like this will I do damage to the topend? Quote
278 Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 You should probably re-build, you want to make sure they're only like 5 psi different typically is a good range a little more and your ok, but 20 psi different and your should be considering a re-build. It's not necesarily the top end thatll be damaged but any where on the rotating assembly because of the inbalance Quote
m barrett Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 i just rebuilt my topend my bike is stock what should the compression be Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 i would maybe double check with another tester before you tear into it. if they are truly off that much, then you need to figure out why. how old is the topend? Quote
hotrodbanshee Posted November 2, 2008 Author Report Posted November 2, 2008 Last topend was about 5 years ago. I decided to go ahead and do a rebuild and have herr juggs racing do a dune port on her. Can't wait to see what kind of power shee will have. Quote
