Rodneya Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Anybody know how much a set of cylinders weigh. I am trying to get an idea of shipping costs to send them off to get ported Quote
278 Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 I dont know exactly how much they weigh, but I live in Alaska and to send mine to Utah it was like $38.00 one way so like around $70.00 total. Keep in mind I live in Alaska so shipping is alot higher here because it's considered over seas shipping. BTW that quote was through USPS Quote
locogato11283 Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 i would say no more than 5 pounds a piece.. Quote
flyhighprerunner Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 I think with packing them in bubble wrap it was right around 13 pds....... Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 I sent mine from the West Coast to the Mid West for $17 bux! Not heavy at all.. Remember they're hallow! Quote
Rodneya Posted November 1, 2008 Author Report Posted November 1, 2008 Thanks guys. I will be sending them from Canada to California, so that doubles the cost right there. Planning a new top end and porting for a winter, and maybe a new head and Clark 5.5 gal tank. Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Sounds good! What's wrong with the head? Quote
Rodneya Posted November 1, 2008 Author Report Posted November 1, 2008 I want to change from stock to a coolhead with domes. Just got to figure out what size domes will work best. Quote
Snopczynski Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Why did you attach a picture of a banshee with a monster truck tire on it to this post? Quote

Dave I. Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 For anyone else curious.......cylinders will fit in the large USPS flat rate box.....send them anywhere in the US for $9.80 in two days....... Quote
Rodneya Posted November 1, 2008 Author Report Posted November 1, 2008 Why did you attach a picture of a banshee with a monster truck tire on it to this post? Because I can. Ask a stupid question and get a stupid answer. Quote
