ok so i checked the compression on it today and it turns out that that is fine so im thinking that everything is ok and i also checked the pump and everything on that looked good. spark plugs looked good too. my compression is 75 on both sides and the dealer said that it was fine. all i got to do left is put radiator fluid back in it but i dont know if i should put just normal car fluid in or got with something different. any pointers on that?

If you remove your rad grill and put foam around your rad and put your shroud back on this will help a whole lot because it forces the air to go through the rad instead of around it the air will take the path of least resistance and just go around the rad and out the side vents of the tank shroud i ride in the sand and found this helped me out alot i use to have the same thing happen to me when i would do lots of hill shots when you dont have alot of air flowing over your rad.

well thats what the dealer told me it should be at at my altitude but ill take somebodys word on here befor i do the dealer since they stop selling 2 strokes

Dont' pay any attention to anything that comes out of a dealer's mouth. They do not know what they're talking about. 75psi is way too low. Like Snop said, no lower than 125psi. Oh, and NEVER BLOW COMPRESSED AIR THROUGH A RADIATOR! Radiators are made out of super soft metals. Compressed air can and will rip the fins off, and could cause a leak. Just use a regular water hose. Maybe put some kind of solvent on it first. As far as water impellers, billet is lighter, but stainless is stronger. It's your choice. I said it in my first post, and Snop reiterated it, get a new 16psi radiator cap. But before I worry about cooling issues, I would worry more about getting it rebuilt. I'm sure that during your rebuild, you'll accidentally fix your cooling problem.

Yeah get it rebuilt.

Sounds like a bad head gasket anyway. (Spitting out

coolant and it isn't even hot.)

ill try that ill try and pull the engine tomorrow just dont have the money now to rebuild it but i bet its going to cost alot. i dont make much money only $600 a month since im a full time student and only have a part time job. but ill try my best and rebuild it. i do know how to do car engines but i never worked on a atv before so im hoping its not to hard

so i got the engine apart and the head gasket and rings look good only problem i found was a little metal shard in one of the water jackets.

well while i have the engine apart is there anything else i should look over before i put it back together? im really thinking of going with a drag port from HJR but ill have to wait a while before i get the money.

Your hardly a cadidate for a drag port with the chassis setup and limited knowledge you have. Start off with stock or something easy to tune and ride. Work your way into it. Along with drag race parts comes the need for knowledge to tune and wrench on the bike alot to fix and fine tune how it runs.

in not looking into makeing it a drag bike i want something with a little more power and i drive through trails and some very small dunes. i was just thinking of getting it ported while i have it apart and im looking into getting a new swing arm also soon. i have only had the bike for like 2 or 3 weeks so was just haveing some fun with it till this happend

You can get a port job that will be alot stronger than stock and still

pretty reliable.

Call Jeff at FAST, Kevin Herr, Jim at Passion, and any other builders

that others here recommend. Tell them what you want and they will

help you decide what is best for your riding style.
