dajogejr Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 I've got pics of mine installed...the hardware he uses is nice, however...I didn't like the small allen head bolts for the water neck, so I got different stainless bolts at the hardware store. I'll try to remember to post a pic later.... Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Why is it chromed? Isn't it milled from billet aluminum? And where is the the coolant passages between the cylinders? Quote
dajogejr Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Yep, machined out of billet, and yes, it's chromed. The coolant passages are there, just hard to see cause it's blingin so much. Used mine all this past season, LOTS of passes on my bike...not a single leak or problem. Quote
Chariot Performance Posted November 6, 2008 Report Posted November 6, 2008 Why is it chromed? Isn't it milled from billet aluminum? And where is the the coolant passages between the cylinders? The chrome is just for show. It is show quality chrome and very expensive and difficult to have done on aluminum. You can't see the coolant flow to both sides unless it is in your hands. Our newest heads are coming out tommorrow (listed on ebay). They feature even stronger construction for the most demanding methanol beasts. We will also have black anodized heads in addition to plain, red, blue and show chrome. Quote

While my Chariot head I got from you early this year has given me zero problems, I plan on putting a 30 shot on my motor this year... I might have to get one of these stronger heads from you J. Guys...he ain't lying, this chrome is NICE!!! Quote

I'm only afraid that i'll have to start polishing my pipes now. Anyone know what the two smallest O-rings are for? about 1" diameter. Quote
dajogejr Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 They are for older style domes....pitch 'em. Newer NOSS and pro-design domes don't need them. Quote
shanYE west Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 I think they need to make a Chariot head for the DM. It would be a nice alternative to the casted head. Quote
mofoka Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 They are for older style domes....pitch 'em. Newer NOSS and pro-design domes don't need them. Where did they go on the old domes? and how old are the 'older' ones? I got some domes off Ripruck and I'm not sure how old they are. When I placed the domes in the head I just put the rings that sit inside the head by the hole. I was thinking when I am placing the head is it okay to use vaseline to hold the rings inplace? Quote
dajogejr Posted November 24, 2008 Report Posted November 24, 2008 If you have to ask, your domes aren't that old. Vaseline works, grease....I use a dab of RTV and roll the Orings through my fingers to get 'em to stick... Quote
