yeh, i don't say i can do something if i can't. i have pics of my port job on my shee if you would like to see them. i know i can do it....i've done it before. not to mention i port snowmobile cylinders....not just a clean up of casting flaws, but truly opening up the auxillary exhaust ports and opening up/reshaping the main exhaust port.

problem is that no one knows who you are and ive never heard anyone say they have something ported by you.

What's your exhaust port duration and what have you done with the transfer ports? The exhaust and intakes are the easiest to do, but the transfers really need reworked to get the most out of a port job.

i don't remember. i know the exhaust got raised 1mm. if you know what stock is, you can figure it from there. i didn't touch the transfers yet on mine (meaning port windows, i did thin the runner bridge at the bottom for better flow into the transfer runners)....that's to come this spring. this fellow looking for a port job, will be satisfied enough and have a big enough smile on his face with the race logic stage 3 port job. i know i was right off the bat. 40t in back and 14t up front and front end comes up w/o trying in 1st-3rd.

If I had a spare set of cylinders laying around...I'd let Mopar port a set.

I've read his posts, and he seems pretty knowlegeable.

Does that necessarily mean he can port a set of cylinders?

No....but I'd give him a shot on a set of near end of life cylinders just to see and try his work.

I'm not going to say BHQ has made Kevin, Jeff or Jim...but it has certainly increased their business and their reps.

They all started somewhere too....

thank you dajogejr. exactly, kevin and all the other guys had to start somewhere too. they were once where i am now. someone finally gave them the oportunity to port their cylinders, then loved the outcome, then told their buddies, and it all grew from there for them. well dajogejr, when you get a spare set of cylinders, please give me a chance. the fellow who started this post, wants his shee ported for more power. so, i thought i'd post to help out. i can help his banshee breathe.

Some day...I might build a duner again. My next quad will be something for the misses, in the line of a Rhino, Polaris...or something else big, 4X4 and automatic (a pit bike for me...as well, if she's not on the trip...lol)

If I ever get there...I'll hit ya up.

I think it was mopar that sent me some pics of his cylinders, they looked pretty good. Everything was smooth and symmetrical. He asked me lots of questions so he got his port widths and heights right.

thanks snope. this spring its time to put some work into the transfers. i never messed w/the transfers like you had suggested. i thought i would take it in "stages" and see how it is after each change, instead of 4 or 5 things at once.

The way I started getting lots of business was at the track. Win on you motors. Sponsor someone that races. If you can put someone in first place you will get the business coming in. Every track you can get a win at people at that track will come to you and they are all on forums. Word spreads like wild fire on the net.

Best of Luck

I also have not done the transfer ports on my bike yet. I liked the power gain I received from doing the Race Logic fast trail port and I wanted to do the changes in stages. I am tearing my bike down soon and I am going to do the transfers then and shave the head.

I used Pride Racing off ebay, wow what a difference, runs like a monster. I just posted a thread recently. I checked out their feedback and it sold me, I couldn't touch my friends trinity done banshee, now we run even with the same setup. Dollar for dollar can't go wrong. I price checked every where and this was the best I could come up with...$175.

thanks kevin for the tips. i don't mean to try and steal business from you or anything, but i just would like to have my name out there and have some people come to me for their porting needs. it would just tickle me to death, to have someone have me port their cylinders, then love the outcome, so they tell their buddies, and then before i know it, i have another fellow pm'ing me for porting his shee.
