adrenaline junky Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I picked up this new ignition for 100 bucks. It came with the cdi box and an adjustable curve switch. Can anybody tell me if i run this set up, do i have to adjust my timing plate back to zero? Quote
Snopczynski Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 no not typically. It depends on wether or not the previous customer did anything with the programmer and changed any curves in the cdi. Quote
adrenaline junky Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 Thats what i am saying i am going to change the curvs with the switch that comes with it. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Thats what i am saying i am going to change the curvs with the switch that comes with it. thats not what he means, the dyna can be reprogrammed so the curves are customized. As long as the curves are the "stock" dyna curves and not customized with the programmig kit you can get away with a few degrees. i used to run +4 AND urve 4 on my dune bike. Quote
yfzdunejumper Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 The dyna I think on the most advanced setting (I forget it is either 2 or 3 but i can look if you need me to) is advanced +4 so if your plate is set at +4 with the dyna on the most advanced setting you will be running at +8. adrenaline junky Posted September 28, 2008 Author Report Posted September 28, 2008 I have it set at +5 and i want to advance the curve with the adjustable curve switch, so what should i do. Quote
