my cuz has an 02' that is built and it isnt firing. we switched the coil out and that wasnt it. so i guess it is left to the cdi box or stator, right??? when we tried to pull it off the lights came on but no fire at all. so how/ what do we check to see what it is thanks.

Did you check and see if you have a spark?

Pull one plug at a time, and turn of the gas, put the plug in the boot, but let the end rest on the cylinder and then kick the bike. You should have a fat blue spark. If not, then its an electrical issue. If you do your problem lies elsewhere.

I have seen Cubs at +8, but I would stay at 4 personally.

only reason im asking cause someone told me they loved timing... idk much about them. and im not even sure what 2 degrees would do...but i want the bike to be as reliable as posible so i am gonna leave it alone maybe change pipes.
