F.BEJARANO Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 i am running lean on my right side for some reason. is it common for someone to run a fatter jet in one carb or do i have something that needs fixing. all mods in sig Quote
LS1Inferno Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 well it sounds like you have an air leak, or somthing, you NEVER should run different jets. start it and spray carb cleaner around the intake boots and see if it revs up, that will tell you if you have an air leak. Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 If you dont have an air leak clean your jets, one might be clogged up. What kind of intake are you running? Pods? Airbox? If one pod is too oiled one side will be running fatter. Quote
THE GRIM RIPPER Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 What they said obviously I cant help but to think about a joke that came about when me and my buddies were younger.... When ever one of us got pink eye we would crack on them and say "Smoke the blunt on both sides asshole!!!" hahhaa.. Sorry, pretty un-related but its fun to reminiss Quote

dajogejr Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 The only time I saw bigger jets in one of the carbs was on a 660 Raptor...they have a 5 valve head. One carb fed two valves, one carb fed one. So....that's the only exception to the rule. As said, figure out if it's dirt or an air leak causing one side to be leaner. Quote
F.BEJARANO Posted September 20, 2008 Author Report Posted September 20, 2008 When i sync the carbs i only do it at idle. i synced at half throttle today and they were off. i hope this was the problem cause i don't have an air leak or plugged jets cause they are new. thanks guys. Quote
4stroker Posted September 29, 2008 Report Posted September 29, 2008 i run 1 size bigger in my left cyl and i know alot of other banshees like that too. do like these guys said and check everything but if it still needs a fatter jet in one side then dont worry about it, its pretty normal. Quote

TurboBanshee420 Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Most snowmobiles have different jetting per cyl. It's mostly because of the heat build-up on the clutch side. Maybe your having alot of heat transfer from a pipe being too close to the head on one side. It only takes a few degrees to make a diff. alittle outside of the box, but also a possibility if nothing else if so the rich side is the hot side. Quote
