Misssppelllleddd Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 I'm running the Dynatek FS ignition unit and I was just wondering what timing curve should I use to have more bottom end power based on the mods listed in my sig? Does it matter which timing curve I use when breaking the engine in? Quote

Curve 3 I believe...whichever has the most timing curve in the lower to mid RPMs. You can bump the compression a bit to for more bottom, but...it's never gonna be a four stroke. Quote
J-Madd Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Go ahead and advance it on the timing plate also..and run race gas with your assumed compression with 19 cc domes. Quote
Snopczynski Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 I like curve 3, I advanced my timing in the cdi with the programming kit and did not use an advance plate. Quote

Snopczynski Posted October 22, 2008 Report Posted October 22, 2008 Do you not have the adjustable dip switch setup that plugs into the cdi? It has a label right on it that tells you which way to set the switches. Quote
Misssppelllleddd Posted October 23, 2008 Author Report Posted October 23, 2008 yeah i am on curve 3. how good is the programming kit? Quote
J-Madd Posted October 23, 2008 Report Posted October 23, 2008 You gotta fax number and I can send you printouts of all the curves. I don't have a scanner, and it won't let you print to file or post the files. Quote
trinity472 Posted October 26, 2008 Report Posted October 26, 2008 the sticker wore off so im not sure which curve is which Quote
