LT Shocks with +2+1?

The question is will long travel shocks (17.5 inches eye to eye) work with normal +2 +1 a-arms? Would I be able to get the shocks set up for my style, weight, etc. for this condition? I only ask because I can get this for a steal. But a steal is only a steal if you need it and if it works!

Long travel shocks will not work with standard travel a-arms. The front end of the bike will sit really really high, and it will wear out the ball joints/heims pretty quickly.

 

If the price is right get it, and sell the LT shocks, they go for pretty good prices on ebay and then buy some regular shocks.

Or you could sell the arms to get long travel ones.
