acfine Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 My Banshee is a 2002 with FMF Fatty exhaust, Core2 silencers, 300 main jets, 25 pilot jet, K&N filter and a K&N PowerLid. There is no low end power at all. I left the stock 25 pilot jets in to see how it ran, will going to 27.5 help this out, or is it just some fine tuning to the pilot jet air/fuel mixture screw that is needed? Thanks Quote

Thanks That is common for most setups, a 27.5 would be good. Idle needs adjusting if it is hard to keep running. BUT.... we need to know your elevation. I have a few buddies running those pipes with similar mods. Most popular pipe in this area to be honest. Most run 280 mains on 27.5 pilots, one runs 300 mains on 27.5 pilots. 1.5 turns out on the air screw with stock needle on 3rd clips. But elevation is a factor. We are at 1200 feet. Quote
Onesickcrewcab Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 I used to run that exact same setup. Had 300 mains, 27.5 pilots at sea level. Never had any bottom end really. Just mid to top. Quote

(Dallas, TX) Once I'm up in the RPMs, it screams, but it's really tough to get going at all with the amount of bogging... Edited September 7, 2008 by acfine Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 You will be a tad fat at 300 mains, but that is a good thing my man. 27.5 pilots is good. And 1.5 turns on the screw with the stock needle on 3rd clip. That should do it. Banshees aren't made for low end, especially yours with those pipes. You will have a great midrange, and a good power supply up top. It will pull nice. The thing is it won't feel like much until you get into the meat of it. They are all like that. Let us know what you come up with Quote

4u2nv Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) Hey guys just joined up on this forum, i had the same problem with my banshee as this post explains and i added the 27.5 with a 300 and i ran 2 times better, jetting is a huge difference in the way your machine runs.
