DieselTech Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Hello all, Has anyone ever used (or now has) a Vito's crank? I'm looking at the "stock" one they sell, it supposedly is also keyed rather than welded. I have a motor that needs a crank, and I'm trying to decide which way to go with it - rebuild this one, or get a new one. HotRods cranks are $$$, so I'm looking at less expensive options. Hell, I'm even considering rebuilding this one myself (it'd be my first!) to save a few bucks and get some experience. Quote
jbooker82 Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 Call Jeff at FAST. He can probably get you a Hot Rods crank for the price that vito's sells there crank for. I would go with a Long Rod Crank while your in there. The conecting rods are longer so the ange of the rod is reduced so there is less side to side load on the piston skirts. It is a 100% reliability mod. You dont get any more power. All you need is a set of Wiseco 795 Series Pistons. Or you could drop in a stroker  Quote
brugal Posted September 3, 2008 Report Posted September 3, 2008 I'm looking at less expensive options. ryda85 has a stock crank in the for sale section for $150.00 shipped. Quote
