jbones Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 i have a 87 banshee with toomy pipes rad valve 3/8 reed spacer stock air box with lid off k&n filter boost bottle stock pilot jet 280 main jet needle clip in stock postion air mix screws 2 1/2 out. it idles good but breaks up at full throttle if i hold choke out alittle bit it will run better up on full throttle .i tried turning air mix screws in till 1/2 out and it ran better .should i have bigger main jet? or maybe bigger pilot jet? or move needle clip? LS1Inferno Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 yeah this wont cause it to run bad (unless it has already cracked the intake boots) but loose the boost bottle because well it can crack your intake boots and make it go lean and burn up Quote
mopar1rules Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 yeah, try 320 or 300 mains and get rid of the reed spacers. they do nothing. i tried some on mine and it made mine break up on top end also. took reed spacers out and back to running like a champ. Quote
