You should get the adapter plate and new filter before doing any mods to your air box (aside from removing the snorkel.) The stock filter setup is EXTREMELY shitty. My carb slides got stuck on me while riding in glamis on T-Day. I almost crashed into a family on 4th gear WOT. Just dig under your couch cushions raid the car and get whatever cash you can to buy that filter setup.
