how old are your clutches?

if you still have your tors on you will have a box thing on top of your carb top if not you will just have a cable coming out of your carb top going straight to your throttle

suonds like your clutches might be slipping

yes reliablity is definately another factor..i just have rebuilt my shee for the first time about a year ago and everything still looked really nice:) I was actually suprised because I had heard that 2 strokes usually had to be rebuilt more often and it had been 3 years of drag racing twice a week

do you still have tors or has it already been removed?

I am looking into getting drag pipes w/ mufflers and a port job over the winter..I haven't seen too many drag pipes with mufflers..but trinity seems to have the cheapest that I have found..are they decent and how do they compare to the others..and as for the port work..who does a good job and how much is it for a good drag port? Also I have read a few posts on the cheetah cylinders..I might be interested in getting those with a port job if I can afford it..Any suggestions are welcome..thanks in advance

yeah that does sound a little too lean..i would try going up a few sizes on your mains

I removed my ebrake about a month ago..your new perch won't have a place for the ebrake button..so if you just trace the wires down from it to the plug and unplug it..and then on the back of your shee put your ebrake blockoff plate on..then you will be ready to roll out again

I had Pro Circuits before I got my T6's and to tell you the truth I couldn't tell a whole lot of difference between them

I've got a few questions about this ignition. It says it is programable but how do you program it? Is it already preset with some timing curves? and if it is preset..around where is the launch rev-limiter at?

I have heard that if you port the motor with toomey t6 pipes you do more harm than you do good because they perform better with stock porting. I don't know if this is true or not but I have read it numerous times.

First off let me start out by saying that all I do with my banshee is drag race. My current mods are listed below. I am looking into getting an ignition with a launch rev limiter and/or reed cages. I have seen dynatek in rocky mountain and the v-force reed cages but I wasn't sure if these would be best for drag racing or if there were other brands out there that would be better. Any suggestions on which ones are better and which ones to avoid?

Where can get american racers and how much are they? And would a degree key advance the timing like you are talking about? I am running barnett steels and springs.

I am running at an elevation of around 800'

My banshee is set up like this. I have removed my snorkel from the airbox and installed a K&N filter inside with the lid still on. I have 260 main jets and 30 piolet jets with Toomey TR6 pipes. I have a 15/40 tooth sprocket setup. I am running 18 inch Hooiser tri-trac slicks on the back and kumho 145r10 68t tires on the front. All around ITP 10" C-series wheels. I have barnett clutches with a hinson basket. I put standard weisco pistons in it. The front is lowered with aluminum bars and the back is tied down. I am currently running around a 8.40 in an 1/8 mile but I have ran an 8.25. When I get to 3/4 track it feels like my shee runs out of power and it just levels off or even dies off a little. I am running around 75 mph with this setup and around a 1.70 60ft. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get in the 7's with a reasonably priced mod or mods.
