  1. So my question above, in the original post was whether I can keep the current air box lid which has been modded as well as the vforce valves or would it create an imbalance. And as I have stated, previously, I am new to 2 strokes (not new to engines) I don’t need questions answered that I didn’t ask. I do understand going from a T5 to a stock exhaust is going to reduce performance and further performance upgrades. I’m not an idiot. I appreciate the valid suggestions of trying to run the T5 and play dumb but it won’t work. And believe me, I don’t want to go back to stock and have spent the last week trying to figure out every way possible to keep the bike the way it is. But I still have to go back to stock which should say enough. Penalties for riding with aftermarket $250 fine. Repeated offenses incite fines of up to $1000, impound and resignation of registration. I didn’t buy the banshee to pay fines or pay to get it out of impound. Penalty for running “closed course” mods (which is what they consider Toomey pipes, specifically) is a $500 fine and immediate impound. One person thinks “growing a pair” is all you need. That’s just dumb. I bought the bike to ride with my 2 oldest boys together on the trails close to where I live and up north. All are thoroughly patrolled by fish and game. Snow mobiles and Massachusetts weekend riders have ensured that New Hampshire trail systems are diligently patrolled. I bought the bike for fun not to sit on the side of the trail getting tickets from assholes. Loco gave a decent suggestion. Another guy busted out with “grow a pair”. And at 4:00 in the morning, that being the first thing I read on the screen of my phone... fuck that guy. [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Oh that’s why you told me to grow a pair... because of all of the mention of me desiring to add mods in my original post... wtf? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Sounds good but also sounds like a comment coming from a child so I really don’t care what you think you’d do or what you think other people should do. In the end, if you go fuck yourself, you’ll get more pussy. Doesn’t matter if you have balls or not. My guess... you had to mention sack here in internet land to give the impression that you have some. Tells me you’re just one of those Facebook types who benefits from the internet’s inability to knock you on your ass when your dick sucker gets too comfortable. Best you just do you and don’t answer my shit unless you actually have something NOT retarded to say. Again, go fuck yourself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I talked to the lieutenant for the fish and game here today. I am definitely going back to stock. They all know what banshees are and the lieutenant has one. Haha. But they are impounding repeat offenders here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Welp... I know the post wasn’t for me but thanks. My next big purchase... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Polisport Armadillo exhaust guards. I think they’d look cool but I am thinking they’d absorb some of the sound from the collection chambers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. You live in New Hampshire? And yeah I might do that if The stock system falls through. I’d rather keep this set up. Maybe have the pipes fully coated flat black and put those armadillo guards on the chambers plus the hush kit... they do carry a list of bikes with dBA levels of all of the different systems available for different bikes. The list really focuses on the banshee, warrior and raptor. And the have T5s at 100 dBA on that list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah, I’m seriously that worried about it which is why I posted on the forum. Hush kit won’t matter. They patrol the trails and will even ticket for wrapped pipes saying they are modded. And people are losing in court when they go and site the law which states that no person shall ride a machine on trails with a dBA of over 96 and also that no exhaust shall be modified so as to create a noise level beyond that which is measured on an OEM machine. Well that is easy. Mods are fine as long as the machines noise output is less than or equal to stock. Well they don’t even test for dBA. They just write fines and people are getting shafted in court. So yeah... I’m that worried about it. I’d rather ride a stock bike than look at it doing nothing in my garage or pulling it out of impound every week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I guess they don’t care about their own law. All of this started because my buddy got stopped by fish and game on a blaster and he HAS a stock exhaust. Whole bike is OEM. I guess, since 2019, they’ve become very weird about modded exhaust. And it is because of the sleds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have T5s that are about 21 years old. This was before Toomey used a boring between the stinger and silencer (Toomey will tell you the same thing). I cleaned the pipes up and repacked the silencers. They don’t look too bad but the chrome is pretty much gone from the collection chambers and they could use a good cleaning on the inside to reduce some of the coke build up. The pipes still function the way T5s should. I got most of the rust off and cleaned them up. The silencers don’t look bad. New orings on the caps and on the collection chambers. I can’t use them where I live and will trade for stock exhaust in decent shape that are ready to use. The T5s I have are ready to install. Some dents, nicks and scrapes, chrome worn off etc. but not horrible and ready to use. I need stock exhaust ready to use. Mm M M Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So New Hampshire is strict as hell about dBA emissions and requires that no exhaust can be modified, essentially, from OEM. I have a Toomey T5 full system but now have to find a stock system and go backward. I feel like I am moving back in with my mom. I am fairly new to a lot of this so the question is, will I have to reverse my other mods like the vforce4 reed valves and K&N air with modified lid and no snorkel? Obviously I will have to rejet back to moped but would this bike be affected by some sort of imbalance of intake vs exhaust flow?
  12. one thing I didn't consider that seems to have been the culprit for the lean condition off idle... It was tuned for a 50:1 premix (the p.o. ran klotz) and I am running yama s at 32:1. Fucked up once and ordered 27.5 and 30 slow jets from vitos. They sent me one of each. Found a set of 30s at the local yamaha shop and put those in. So with T5s, pro design 1 into 2 set up with K&N filter with lid on, no snorkel, Vforce4 reed valves, VM28 carbs, Skeeter was pretty spot on in another suggestion. 30 pilots, air mixture 3/4 turns out, stock needle on #3, 320 mains at 600ft asl, 28F outside (jets will drop, obviously with warm weather). Had enough plugs for two rounds of chops but its way too cold to do anything more anyway. The neighbors are all awake and hating me so life is great. Again, thanks for the advice. This is all pretty temporary. I want to beat the dog shit out of this bike then when I break, melt, seize, or grenade something I want to build a solid 4 mil for forest trail riding. I need to learn how to ride it. This machine is set so far apart from anything else out there. Fucking banshee.
  13. Don’t order shit from Vitos. I just got shafted by those retards. Order from F.A.S.T. Fucking EBay is more reliable than Vitos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. But muh mommy said I were handsome wif duh 20s, yo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. But those are two strokes too, mostly. He’s fucked if a 2 stroke hurts this bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m dying right now! [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] Why can’t there be more tampon strings like this guy for these kinds of laughs. There should be a thread call “complaints and suggestions” here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. When you said “this place is dumb af” I immediately remembered your mom’s house. I’d like to +2 skeeter’s suggestion and add that the most important step is the fucking yourself part. From what your sister said, it’s the only way you’ll ever get any pussy. Just my 2 cents. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks, guys. I ordered some new rollers for now but have to slow down on purchases. But definitely going to grab the TM kit. So the previous owner brought in the service receipts today to show the swingarm guide was new and the swingarm bearings are all new. The rollers were new and the rear guide is new. What a bunch of garbage they put on this bike. The shit looks like it's been on there for 20 years! The TM front guide, does the swingarm come off to install that or does it split on the end to allow for opening to slip on the swingarm? I am thinking i need to take the swingarm off and see what other shit job the old owners "service tech" did.
  19. The airbox is modified I just noticed. The lid has two of those toomey breather vents and it appears the snorkel used to route air to the back of the airbox before even reaching the chamber that houses the filter. The airbox lid had a large section cut out so the air enters through the snorkel and straight into the airbox.
  20. Didn’t even notice this til I stood the bike up to clean the bottom up, inspect, and put the collection chambers/springs back on. It appears these bikes run two chain rollers as well as a poly/nylon rolling sleeve that the chain rides on which is placed around the left side swing arm seal. Is that correct? Both rollers, if that is the case, have been reduced to bare bearings. The swing arm sleeve thing is also pretty wrecked. Wondering if there are better options. Pictures are great, if you have them. This was NOT supposed to be posted over and over again! And the first two were supposed to be canceled. WTF. Is there a thread on how to use computers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
