So, I haven't been able to run the bike yet. Looks like next week I'll be able to.
Not sure if this is normal, but when the bike has been sitting for a while, it takes quite a few kicks to start it?
When the bike has been running and its shut off, one kick will start it back up.

Support frame with rear wheels off ground, supports swingarm, Take the upper shock bolt off and be done with it.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkSo, pretty much how I had it?
Upper shock bolt meaning the upper link? Or the actual upper shock bolt?

I jacked the bike up, and put a milk crate under the axle and slowly lowered the bike just until the axle touched the crate. I pulled the nut off the bolt on the upper link. I stopped there. I was trying to tap the bolt out of the linkage, but it's so tight that I'm envisioning the bike buckling at the swingarm pivot when I back the bolt out all the way.

Pull the bolt out of the upper link and the lower shock mount. The whole thing will drop down and pivot at the frame.
Makes sense. Thanks.

I've been staring at this dog bone I picked up a little while ago. Figured I'd go out back and install it today. I jacked the bike up, and slid a crate under the rear axle to hold the swingarm in place.
Should I remove anything off the bike before start pulling the bolts off the linkage? This particular bolt doesn't look that easy to access. Any tricks to doing this? Maybe I'm making it more difficult than it needs to be.

Last time I checked, the IMS pegs were back ordered for a while. I'll check around.Buy the IMs pegs.
Those bolts are great if you want to spend 25$ on four bolts.

That looks really nice. How much $ that run you? That’s not bad for the set.
Almost every bolt on all my bikes are titanium.
My duner included.

So, the paint on the foot pegs is not holding up at all. I cleaned the pegs real good with a dremel, primed and painted. Still flaking off. Look so like I’m gonna pull them off and have them powder coated.
Id like to get some new foot leg bolts too. I don’t need titanium, but these are priced right. Anybody use these?

The LEDs work?

That was a LONG time ago. Thread has evolved since then. Lol
LEDs not working. I guess I’m going to have to dive a little deeper into this.

Any idea how many links I need for 14/44 sprockets?
Stock chain is 104 right?

You weren't kidding when you said some trimming.

Lol I know right.
Back on topic, heading out back to see if I can get this lighting to work. Gonna play with the harness a little.

Little off topic, but I'm in the market for a truck. Found this Black Widow package Silverado and I love it. Friggin same paint scheme as my Mustang and Banshee too.

Iirc, you usually have to do a little bit of triming. ( Might be for stock covers tho... Just don't freak out if it doesn't fit perfectly.
FYI also, they sell different ones for a different sprocket size ranges. so before you trim, make sure you got the right one

Thanks. Good to know.
Cant be any worse than these plastics.
I got the small sprocket case saver (12-15).
-
Kawa, I'm shipping your throttle cable tomorrow.
Just got the case saver. Its bigger and beefier than I expected.

I'm going to check the wiring harness tomorrow. Make sure the grounds are grounded and the connections aren't loose. I take a pic of the voltage regulator.
Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk -
The flywheel needs to be pulled to access the voltage regulator, correct?
-
I wonder if the previous ownser didn’t do a DC conversion since he was running leds.
I guess theres no way to tell unless I pull the flywheel.
-
I might have to redneck it. Lol.

Is pulling the flywheel and floating the ground a big ordeal?
Im learning as I go here.

I was playing around with the light switch while the bike was running. The lights on the left side seem to work intermittently as I'm switching between low and high. The lights on the right aren't coming on at all.
Does that mean anything in particular?
