  5. Logic has no place here. GTFO Yes he did. With or without the expander rings there was no wall clearance. I have no other issue with him. He seemed like a cool guy and got my stuff done. His port work was very good. Just wish he hadnt forgoten or ignored what he said he would do.
  6. just adding to the pot. Didnt feel like making a new thread.

New Hampshire has one of the lowest taxation rates overall in the country. just research where you want to live...no need to move west just because of taxes

Too cold up there my friend. Looking a Utah

  9. Yup, learning as I go. It was a costly mistake but he should of measured them since he had the pistons, as I should of too.
  10. From who? Not wanting to mention any names yet, also I dont like the back and forth bitching but some people just dont honor their word. Maybe I am on the wrong here with my way of thinking but the situation was a follows; Sent a couple of cylinders to get ported, bore job and brand new pistons. Got them back in a timely manner. I took my time assembling the engine. Once I tried to slide the cylinders over the pistons, they were very tight. I was using the ProX pistons and they come with a expander second ring so I thought thats why they were tight. Should of measured the cylinders myself . Got the motor together and it ran fine without any problems. Took for a spin at light throttle and it seemed ok. A few weeks I took it to another builder to get it tuned. Builder stated that the motor did not want to rev out and something was holding it back. I still thought it was those darn expander rings. Builder took the motor apart and told me that whoever bored out the cylinders had bored them too small. So pistons were scorned and not salvageable and cylinders needed to be bored again. Contacted the person that did the job and he was honest said he was sorry. But I mentioned it to him maybe he could reimburse me for some of the cost of rebuilding the top end again. He said he would try to help me out. Didnt hear from him for two weeks. He said he was still trying some work from other people and if someone would pay him, he would cut me a piece. That was Sept 7 and still havent heard anything for him.
  11. I had the same issue the other day when I went to the coal hills. It was cutting out bad under load up the hills. I should of taken some jets. My friends banshee stock carbs was running great. He had a bit of issue at off idle but I was able to fix it by turning his air screw out 1 1/2 turns out. It seemed to me that the left cylinder on mine was causing the problem for the most part. It would be dead at off idle but it would come alive with a blip of the throttle. Idle screw was 2 1/2 turns out and needle on the 5 position from the bottom. Elevation is around 1080'. Dont know when I will be back up there to test it again, long drive getting there.
  12. haha cool, its Martin the guy with the red/yellow banshee. We went to that place in Pa with the coal hills.
  13. Berto, Johns boy?
  14. yup, 1000 dollar tickets for trespassing on state land
  15. Riding spots in NJ?
  16. ok cool
  17. Who sells 23cc domes for stock cylinders? Cant find them anywhere, all I see is for big bore cylinders.
  18. Sounds epic, maybe one of these years.
  19. Sent you a text, dont know if you got it.
  20. Hello pimps. I just recently rebuilt my shee and my friend's shee and I am looking for a good tuner in the NJ area. I know of Sleeper06 but hes deep in Long island..lol, great banshee guru by the way. I am trying to do it myself but I dont have the $$ to rebuild the motors if I blow them up. Both shees have; trail port jugs. fmf fatties pipes. +4 degree timing. Coolhead with 22cc domes and 21cc domes on the other. Wiseco pistons and Prox pistons on the other. Stock carbs and Keihin 28mm on the other. Thanks
  21. Do a compression test, and leak down test. Clean your carbs
  22. I registered my banshee in Pa since NJ sucks donkey dicks on that process. All I had was a bill of sale and the original Certificate of Origin. They took only my bill of sale and a photo of the vin# on the frame. Just make sure you get the bill of sale notarized and you are good. $20 for registration for 2 years, and I believe another $20 for the tittle plus taxes. Did it all over the phone and fax machine. They sent me a plate too.
