  1. Thats awesome to hear, I dont know you personally, but sounds like a great thing to do with friends and family, hard work pays off, and its even better when you have your loved ones to enjoy it with.
  2. I rebuilt the motor in house with a clymers manual at hand and have years of previous experience with engine building, of large displacement and other motorcross motors, as well as atvs. The carbs are the only thing I didnt touch, until I ran into problems, entire motor sealed and torqued to spec, ran fine when i poured a little gas into each cylinder, thats how I know no gas was getting to the motor I ordered carbs of the bay which, after running into the no start condition I ripped them apart and cleaned them with carb cleaner and let them soak, and the bike still didnt start, at this point im questioning the carbs and whether or not to purchase a brand new set of pwks.
  3. Im unsure the pilot size, but the bowls definitely match the sides they belong on, will keep things updated monday or tuesday when im off will attempt to start the bike agian and see what i run into, and hopefully diagnose the problem.
  4. I know the bike has compression, it never started, but once I poured a little gas in each cylinder it ran, thats how I diagnosed that there was no gas getting to the motor no leaks, and the whole carbs were rebuilt and cleaned properly so idk??, and this is a rebuilt motor so im pretty sure it has something to do with the carbs, because if there was a problem with the motor it would not have started once like it did???
  5. Yes, the whole main jet and everything else was removed, and let soak, still gas sits in bowls.
  6. No, i did not, however i can still see clearly and daylight through each.
  7. I cleaned the carbs as a whole took the bowls off, let them soak overnight and sprayed them through any holes and removed any screws while doing so, the gas doesnt spray into cylinders, just sits in bowls, i dont know if its the reeds not working, or a carb problem.
  8. Cant get gas from carbs to cylinders, just sits in bowls, bike only started once when a little gas was poured in each cylinder, and started backfiring immediately, so i stopped trying, Is this the reeds not sucking in gas or the carbs not functioning properly, in need of help, whether i should purchase new carbs or what????
  9. I have .80 bored over, porting , stock stroke and other bolt ons ,(pipes etc.) running r50 with 93 premium
  10. Ok, thanks will check flywheel key, and flywheel tomorrow, I have a +4 degree key and my stator has an adjustable plate, should the stator plate be set at +4 as well or at the regular position as stock, if so this may be the problem, I believe both are at +4.
  11. I recently rebuilt my shees whole motor top end and bottom, it started after a few kicks and died, then it almost started up but died, then I went to kick it after and everytime, instead of firing up the bike would backfire and shoot a flame out of the pipe.
  12. Oh man thank you for letting me know, dodged a bullet there, thanks in advance, ordered the part should hopefully be up and running soon, I appreicate all the help.
  13. Ok, thanks for the info, just curious what is this hose, and what does it do that will prevent the bike running, witout it installed.
  14. Yea I have stock carbs, similar to the picture, including the tors delete.
  15. Oh, in that case my carbs dont have that hose, what is it, and is it necessary for the bike to run, have seen brand new carbs that dont have it.
  16. No, only the 2 fuel lines that come from each and come together into one, is that the same thing?
  17. Had a previous problem, carbs pouring gas, now fixed by tightening drain bolt, now carbs hold gas. However now other problems occur. Checked the spark plugs, dry no gas going to cylinders, pulled carbs, intake side dry no gas inside, could this be a problem with the reeds not functioning correctly and failing to suck gas into the motor?
  18. Thanks for everything, sometimes things require the simplest of solutions, the bolt at the bottom of the boll was loose and not all the way in, causing all gas to go out the drain on each carb, now both are tightened, hopefully that is it and I can get ripping in no time. ☺
  19. Ok thanks, I will try each sequence, hopefully its nothing too serious, something that can be sorted out in no time.
  20. I am new and just finished building my Banshee, everything works, has spark, compression, etc. I just filled the tank and turned the gas on, then the carbs just start pouring out all the gas, almost emptying the tank, petcock in off position prevents this, however when gas is on all gas pours out of the vent holes towards the bottom of each carb, I pulled the plugs and they were dry, engine is not getting gas, anyone know what the problem can be, in need of help!!!
  21. Just wondering if ya still got the fullbores for sale
