So, I searched, but I think I have a unique issue. Recently bought a banshee, working on fixing it up. It had a bastard of a welded shifter on it, bought a used stock one off eBay, and the stock one points about vertical when the bolt is lined up with the groove in the shaft. So the shift shaft isn't clocked properly. I can grind in a new groove no problem, but how important is the clocking of the shift shaft? Should I tear it apart now, or will it be fine.
