If i plan on doing serious dune work i will prob pay to have it done. Those tools look like they work great from the vids but pricey for one or two times at home. I was trying to make the windows rounded in the corners instead of square to try to maximize ring life. -

I did but i will reffer back to my comment about my g/f being mad about me spending money on my quad, if it wasnt for running perfect when i tore it apart i would of deff re-bored it but i didnt. Pretty sure it happened before i bought the bike and it was lucky the snagged tooth bent back in and its been running fine whole time i had it. Everyone is gonna say im stupid but if it failes i will let you guys knlw so you can say "I told you dumbass!" I am a mcquiver at hear but only when i think somethen will truley work correctly. The scoring is below the exhaust port so i figured it wouldn't loss comprssion from the power stroke. Im gonna get a lot of feedback from this, mostly bad, but this is why im putting it on here. Criticism welcome -

You didnt get my beutiful transfer ports though... I did use the more powerfull rotary tool from harbor frieght to do the edges of the transfer ports and the cylinder wall on the intake side. The bits where much smaller and more fine for the tight and sensative spaces. Didnt not have a 90° head unit on my rotary though so i barely touched the tops of the transfer windows. Just angled them the best the tool would allow. Not gonna be a pro job but if u wanna learn your quad more or if your g/f would kill you if she found out you spent $350 on making your bike faster like me then it works out pretty well. The boost ports prob help the most, not positive about that completly, but it was deff the easiest part to do. -

Lol, were you using a low-power tool that bogged down every time you touched it to the metal??? It is a long teetias project that took me about 8 hours over 3 days and requires STRONG arms unless u have the rite set-up and mounts that a shop would have and still would require lots of stamina. All in all im real glad i did it cus now i can do my other one for free!!! Of course if i wanted a real serious Dune Port or raising the exhaust port i would not recomend doing it urself. Plenty of Pro's on here would do it for you for a good price. Think the range from $350-$500 -

completely agree but that was my only solution at the time. Wouldnt of done it if it didnt seem like it would work good either. I stamped it down on the bottom inside of the water jacket pushed threw the tiny whole and folded around inside to form a smooth flow for air still. My shee gets used once a month for two hours so i should be good for a few years : / -

I guess it would be raising the intake windows btw. When its in your lap grinding its the other way around though. -

Gonna do a plug chop with in cpl days went quarter throttle real well but was breaking it in. The intake windows are what im talking about. You can get the tools of a website recomended by engine porters but i got mine off ebay and used a drill ; ). If u want i could find the name sof the bits so u can look them up. $18-$25. As for "med boost ports" boost ports are wholes drilled from your transfer port to your intake. Supposed to help bottom end from what i read. And when i described them as med i ment medium in size. I didnt want to have to put apoxy on the side to keep durability. Some pro's mightsay i still need it. No havent done a pressure test.... Is this a big no no? -

I had an idea but as i researched, i wanted bottom end so i didnt want to change the duration at all as it would raise my powerband, is what i understood but i could be wrong. I did barely hit it to clean it up nice though -
