"Poser coat" seems about right.

pro armor makes banshee parts
Their website only show skid plates.

Does anyone make heel guard/ foot peg combo for the Banshee anymore? Not looking for anything with a nerf bar. Something like what IMS use to make. If not, I could buy the Alba ones and cut the nerf off. Thanks for any help.

That's why they worth so much!
-
Wow!!! If I knew they were going to be worth this much, I would of bought a dozen sets and sold them off. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-1987-2006-Yamaha-Banshee-SHEARER-2-1-single-pipes-silencer-CHROME-/291629935778?hash=item43e67faca2:g:y1sAAOSwf-VWVNTQ&vxp=mtr

Make sure your eccentric screw is adjusted properly. That is the main reason people have a hard time finding neutral of shifting under load imo.
Thanks, I am going to look into adjusting this.

if you changed nothing but the basket, lockup, star and arm then you would think it has to be something associated with those parts. I haven't looked close but maybe the star has different geometry or different ramps into neutral position ? maybe theres something different about the arm. whats do you meen by hard to find neutral ? is the plates dragging or the star just rolls past the neutral slot ?
I agree, it's definitely one of the thing I just messed with. I don't think it's the clutch or basket. I will be looking @ this shift star and detent bearing first. I think it's just going right pass neutral.
-
Once you cut the star that's about it. It slips right past that notch
So what you saying is with the modified star it's going from 1st to 2nd everytime? Would it be better to go back to the stock star? There are a few things in the aftermarket that help with shifting, like modified shift shaft, shift pro [lighter spring] . Would any of these help hitting neutral easier ???
-
Did you go from an oem shift star to the modded?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
Yup.

You bought a banshee. Some people have good luck and hit neutral every time. I've never seen it in person.
I can usually get it coming to a stop. But at a dead stop it's not happening
Well it was decent before I did the clutch and shift star. The only time I can get neutral is when it's shut off.

I installed a lock up and billet basket over the weekend. While I had the cover off I installed the Mull shift star and detent bearing. Bike runs like a raped ape, but can't find neutral to save it's life. What could be wrong??

x2 on BP being a sponsor. Never hear anything about them, good or bad.

I know this isn't the correct thread. Do you plan on getting any good deals on hipers? So far atv galaxy has the best, but they are iffy on what they send out, could be a totally different item then whats pictured. I'd rather buy from you JD.
I ordered a shitload of stuff from them and had no issues. A Hiper wheel & tire kit was one of them and a set of Elka stage 3 shocks. I even talked to them and the people I spoke with were cool.
-
I emailed them to ask if you can run a grill. They never got back to me.
But 650 for a hood is a whole lot.
Yes it's pricey. I pay less for hoods for the race cars. Lol!!!

Snipers will likely make more peak power and have a better curve than any other pipe.
I feel better hearing this. Knowing I ordered a set the other day! Everything I have read in the forums lately about Snipers are positive.

What springs?
Stock Yamaha.

Start with 2 balls in each small slot. If it's to much weight, pull one from the middle slot in each group between the long slots.
Thanks for the reply . I now have 2 balls in outsides , 1 in the middle & nothing in the long slots

Will to many make the motor Bog at low RPM?
-
Had a quick question about the Driveline lockup. I installed it today and the paperwork said for mild motor use 18 balls and for more powerful motor use 36 and for bigger [10 mil] use all of the balls. I installed 30. Do you think that too many? Thanks

How did it react to the 155? I would imagine it may even be happy at about 148-150. But don't jump all the way down at once.
Tried out 155 mains today and it was better for sure, but still way fat on the plug chop. Went to 150's and will try again after I get this lockup installed.

Does anybody know what Shearer pipes fit better with 35mm pwk & pods? Air box or non air box??

That looks worse than my plug!

For 200.00 I won't feel bad about chopping away the nerf with my sawzall. Then I just have my local welder cap the end.
