  1. You just try to be a dick head to me for asking for help over something super simple for everyone else and yet here you are telling him thanks for his help. What can you not use a grinder and a drill? You should probably walk away. Whore
  2. Not sure of the jetting how can I check I have the main jets and everything sitting out of the carbs. It's got a moose racing boost bottle, Tommy t5 pipes. I'm not sure on how to tell the rest. Never had to deal with this. The left pipe was blowing think white smoke and oil and the left carb which is the choke carb was dumping gas out the overflow lines and covered the whole left side of the engine in grime
  3. Ok thanks for people trying to help but I've grown up in a 4 stroke family. I've never had to mixed fuel in my life. I just bought a banshee that has been sitting for time it's pulled apart I'm cleaning the carbs at the moment I've drained gas the was just put in it from when I bought it but I wanted to blow out a the lines. I have the clymer manual and it says r30 castrol 21:1 or yamalube 4 24:1 but I here different from everyone so I was just asking. The bike has a boost bottle and MIC carbs but idk if there stock or not idk the jetting as of right now I'm try to learn how to jet on my own. Jesus don't comment unless you're gonna help me out dumbasses
  4. Ok so I have a 1990 banshee and I'm going threw the carbs and my carb doesn't have a air screw spring or oring nor does it have a needle jet?!?! I'm follow the clymer manual and the one it shows is a bit different but wth. I'm doing the choke side so when I had it running it was blowing think smoke and oil out the left pipe is this the reason why??
  5. What oil should I use and how do I know the ratio and measure it
  6. How do I do a compression test? My bike it torn apart at the moment so I can clean old gas out and also clean the carbs.Should I clean my carbs and out it back together before I do the test? What's the right psi and if it reads high or low what do I do after that?
  7. Where can I buy a compression tester and what's good compression? I have the carbs pulled off and the tank is also off and drained. I'd like to learn how to do all of this so I don't fork out money to some else who can do it all in 30 min.
  8. I need so experts help. This last Friday I bought a 1990 banshee that had sat for quite awhile and wasn't in that good a shape but it ran. It blows think smoke out the left pipe and also leaks oil from it to. I'm pretty sure he left the old gas in it but he put some fresh stuff in before I bought it. The left carb over flow has leaked gas everywhere. I pulled it apart and not sure what I should do. Do I need new rings on the left side or is it just the carbs and everything needs to be cleaned out. Also my choke didn't have a spring around it when I pulled it out but it didn't seem to affect it when I was starting the bike. The bike would either start first kick or take quite a few kicks. Any suggestion before I buy new rings. Should I just clean the carbs and out them back in or buy rebuild kits for them. I wanted to have the bike at the dunes by this weekend.
