So depending on the alloy of titanium it's going to determine its qualities, ask the person for a copy of there mil test report, that will give you a better idea of its hardness. I spoke to a guy at a fab shop about making some to my specs, I had to get a copy of the mil test report from a company that makes titanium racing parts in order for him to use the best alloy. In general titanium is half the weight of steel and 10 times harder, never more flexible. Some exceptions apply.
