  1. Good info thanks. I just got my 280 main jets from fast. I ordered a carb rebuild kit a while back and it came with stock pilots. Is that okay or should I just order the 27.5's? I want this perfect cuz the guy I bought this from had it all screwed up and I rode it for an hour and fried a piston. Thanks again
  2. Just did a bottom and top end rebuild on my shee and put it all back to stock. Ordered a few parts from F.a.s.t and they are sending me new 185 jets. I have FMF pipes and an open air box with outwears air box cover. I'm in Central NJ which is sea level. So my questions are what would I set my carb needle at? Right now it's in the middle. Also how many turns do I turn the adjustment screw out? I believe the guy at fast said 1 and half turns out. And what gas should I be running? 32:1..91/92/93? Thanks Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  3. I'll take them 40$ shipped Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  4. Quick qeustion...couldn't find it on Google but the half moon clips that hold the bearings in the motor on the trans and crank are only on the bottom portion of the case. my question is, do I need the half moon clips for the top portion since there are grooves for them to be there? Or is it so they can spin all the way around if the bearings move while the motor is running?
  5. I'll take the rear bumper and fender brackets if still avail? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  6. I'm fully capable of ripping a motor apart and rebuilding it. The terms I used may have been wrong but rebuilding this motor isn't hard.
  7. Have pics just trying to get them up and thanks I'll give them a call
  8. You didn't answer any of my questions so gtfo
  9. New to banshees. What's a site sponsor? And I just call and tell them my problem and they will walk me through what I need to do?
  10. Okay so I just got my shee and rode it twice. I fried up my lower piston bearing and did some damage to my piston, cool head and sleeve. I'm pretty sure it wasn't tuned well and was running real lean. Here's what I'm working with.. FMF fatty exhaust .5 bore cool head Timing plate set at 0 boost bottle I have my motor almost ready to split just waiting on the flywheel and clucth tool to come in. I've done loads of research about the motor, just not 100 percent sure what I would need to rebuild plus what to replace while I'm in there? Also the head that the piston fried on put a hairline crack in the sleeve by the little windows in the middle of the Head. Clearly I need to replace the sleeve but how do I got about doing so? Ordering new one? measuring it? So all I'm all I plan on changing bearings, gaskets, pistons and new sleeve in head. Is there anything else I should change out? I don't have the motor open yet so I can't tell if anything else broke yet. Thanks
  11. The other piston looks like it was just changed Too. I plan on starting fresh thanks tho
  12. It's one tool. Has two different Purposes. One side has little notches to hook in the flywheel and you flip it around to the other side to hold the clutch boss still.
  13. Actually found a YouTube video that someone had the smae exact problem as Me And has a step by step video to tear the motor down and split the case. Seems very simple. Just have to order that stupid clucth/flywheel locking tool.
  14. If that's the case then I'm doing it myself. The motor is off my bike already. I'll just be doing alot of research to split this thing. Does that Clymer book show how?
  15. I'm not splitting the case myself. Might just bring the motor to a shop that works on these things by me
  16. Should be fun thanks for your help
  17. Do I have to split the case to change the connecting rod bearing?
  18. Skirt is fine but there's tons of play. The connecting rod bearing isn't even there.
