  12. i am about to put a bit of money into my bike, and i have called around to a few shops and i got really mixed answers on carburetion. two shops are telling me stock carbs will work fine, two shops told me i needed at least 34mm. when questioned about it, they both gave answers that sounded like respectable answers, if i could get some feedback from someone who has done this, or has any aditional info for me would be great. my banshee has: vforce 4 reeds, fmf sst pipes ( will be gettting new ones ), milled head ( will be getting coolhead with 18cc domes along with porting), and toomey intake
  13. So a trip to Glamis is in the making, o was just curious to what jetting y'all at sea level are using so I can get an idea to what I should bring. Current mods on my bike are fmf sst pipes, vf4 reeds, head milled .015, and Toomey intake. Jetting now is 300 mains, needle in middle position ( if I remember right ) 27.5 pilot. I have many jets, and plan on bringing them all. I would just like a ball park estimate Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

  17. hey, i am replacing my stator. its bad. just wondering if i should also get an adjustable timing plate while i'm at this point. when you change your timing +/- typically what changes along with of course the timing, i am assuming jetting will also have to be changed? thanks for everyones help in advance!
  18. i used a bore micrometer, i work in a machine shop, so precision tools are easy for me to come by. no resistance to put in A new piston, its just a cash situation right now, i am just really antsy to get riding again before the weather gets bad
  19. i am tearing down my banshee, compression was in mid 90's and i am looking for new piston rings with a hone, i cannot find any on RMATV or Amazon, just piston kits. am i really going to have to buy new pistons ( i wouldnt mind ) or can anyone point me in the direction of rings. i am doing a complete tear down, many things will be done, installing coolhead, porting cylinder, etc...
