Hey guys just give me an idea of what you would run for jets here are mods: Stock carbs Full shearer exhaust cylinders bored to 66.25mm Boyesen reed cage and reeds open airbox

Not to bring up an old thread, but i just did a top end rebuild and the head gasket is leaking antifreeze, i was told to put it on bare, should i take the head off and copper spray it?

Just did a top end rebuild and i started it up and it runs good but im leaking coolant and cant really tell from where. I dont think it would be the head gasket seens as how its brand new but i guess ive seen weirder. Any ideas? Filled the radiator completely full is that a no no? Full shearer exhaust, Boyesen reeds and reed cage, bored to 66.25mm.

Hey guys i just ordered my top end kit, but im still tryin to figure out what happened to fry my one piston before i put the new ones in. One piston is shot but the other one is in good shape. I did a leak down everything is fine except the guy that had it before me put a boost bottle in for some reason and thats leaking on both sides where it goes into the manifold, would that cause alot of problems? Mods: full shearer exhaust, boyesen reed cage and reeds, (gay boost bottle)

Run the hone at a slow speed? What kinda crosshatch would you prefer?

Im gonna pull the jugs off next week and im picking up a whole top end kit and engine honer this weekend gonna do it right! Hopefully the cylinders dont need to be bored. Old lady would want me spending that much on it lol, giess ill just have to kick her to the curb

Ok so thats definitely why it has zero balls? LOL and im pretty sure he ran it way lean> the guy before me didnt take very good care of his stuff. That or i think there is an airleak somewhere. I will know this weekend when i get my leak down tester:)

Hey guys, just picked up a banshee it dont really have any balls til i hit the powerband. I dont have a leak down tester yet so while it was runnin i sprayed carb cleaner around all places i thought there might be a leak and didnt get nuthin. Im getting a tester this weak so ill know for sure. But anyways did a compression test got 95 on the left 120 on the right. Theres i noticeable less exhaust coming out of the left pipe, and alot of oil spits from the right. What you guys think? new rings or just rebuild the whole top end?

and yes both plugs looked the same. they looked a little dark at the tips though

the temps here right noe are really moody haha. its 46 right now, it was 20 yesterday and suppose to be 50 tomorrow. i live in upstate ny. And thanks i will try the new jetting settings you gave me

pilot jet controls roughly idle to 1/4 throttle so that may need tweeking and main jet roughlt 3/4-full so sounds like your not jetted right for the k&n filter

My friend called me over to help hi with his banshee today, i could only stay for about an hour so we didnt get far but im going back tomorrow and was hoping you guys had some suggestions. It starts up nice but it has no balls, especially when you drive it you cant get it into the powerband. coils, plugs were good. carbs were cleaned.compression test both sides we got 115. only mod on it is a k&n filter. rest is bone stock. suggestions? thanks in advance!
