Name for new Grand River Racing Inframe Pipe stamping
O.G. replied to O.G.'s topic in Sponsor Spotlight
Wow man! It's only been a few days. I don't even know how to post pics yet. But I will have them fitted soon. But really I plan on building 6-8 sets before I have my set ready for the die makers. Really if your worried about how they look or fit or whatever, calm down. I've been at this a while. I do have pics of Other In frames I've built somewhere. Maybe try to get them on Facebook. -

Exactly. Two different pipes right. I thought strippers worked perfect. But you think Hookers should label all of them? -

Call me and give me your name and address. You have a set of Hookers coming your way! This is how we will do this. I'll build many sets of prototypes in the next few weeks. You can have a set of these to run all winter until we have the stamping ready. When I have the stamping ready, send me those back and get a set of stampings. Or keep them if you like. -

Ok so been thinking about this. I think I'll go with Hookers. I know I said you guys could pick. But maybe I can persuade a little. See I really need four versions of this inframe for it to be right with me. The reason I never really pushed the old In frames is because everyone wanted big bore or small bore bullshit. I can't sell you one pipe to do all that. Or one stamping anyway. This is what's up now. My new inframe stamping will be built four ways. Four different pipes. Stock stroke to 7mm, stock stroke to 7mm high rpm, 8mm-10mm, and 8-10mm high rpm. More details later on that. Soooooo. Check this out. Stock stroke to 7mm engine needs the Street Hooker Stock stroke to 7mm high rpm needs the Stripper 8mm to 10mm engine needs the Fat Hooker or Fat Street Hooker 8mm to 10mm high rpm needs the Fat Stripper -

Bag pipes. Oh my god, I can't stop laughing! I've been out in the shop working on these new pipes, thinking "Hooker" sounds pretty cool. Now I have Bag pipes on the mind. What can B.A.G. Stand for? -

I see some good ones. I kinda like Hookers. Tell your wife " I'm saving money for a pair of Hookers". Ha, yea I like that one! -
I never really cared about hp claims. Long time ago, before I built my dyno, we ran the shit out of Dan Hulls dyno. I built a new setup for a customer with new pipes, carbs, and few other mods. 15 more hp on dans dyno. Straight to the track on same day. Bike did not go ANY faster. My customer did not and would not pay for the new pipes and carbs. I don't blame him. This is why I built my brake dyno. But from the begining nobody "believes" my numbers. Like I've always claimed. And will do the same now. MY SHIT WINS! Basically comes to this. Making more hp on a wheel dyno has absolutely nothing to do with how the bike will run at the track.

Technology never gets old! I lived with the Amish in Kentucky for two years. My friends there would agree with me. They have plenty of technology to get shit done. And when it comes to winning a drag race, the Banshee gets shit done.

Oh shit! Yea this will work. Love the DUI. That's funny. Krack. Like that one too. Win a set of pipes? Dam. I could do that. Yea I don't like Applebee's either. Ok so a new set of the no name pipes to the winner. This reminds me how the Suicide name came about. History lesson in Grand River. When we first started selling pipes, we sold regular pipes and what we called "side pipes". There was no inframe or out of frames. If you asked a guy at the track where he got those pipes he would say Grand River Racing. Even though the pipes were made by CPI or whoever. The name didn't matter. When we started building our own they were just "side pipes from Grand River". Anyway, standing at the dyno after a wicked pull, James looks at me and says "fuckin suuuiiicciiide" a legend was born! -
I will be building a new inframe pipe stamping over the next few months. Ill plan on a complete dyno tested and tuned hand rolled pipe to be ready for the die makers before Christmas. This will have me a box of stampings about end of January. But we need a name quick. This will be like a contest. Who ever gives the best name that everyone likes, will win. I use the name, you get a gift certificate to Applebees or something. Ill start; NR-3 (notarocket3) NWR (neverwasarocket)

Yes this is Andy from Grand River Racing. The O.G. I am here to talk shit! Short and sweet. First I need to address a few things I have noticed coming up on BansheeHQ over the last few years. No, I did not go out of business. I have been building Banshee engines for twenty years now. I have had a few other business opportunities over the last few years and I have put time into them along with my family. I have had a steady supply of work for the last 15 years. Just have had to slow up a bit. No new products, no traveling, and not much racing. Just building pipes and engines. Funny how things get spread around. Guess I'm fortunate enough to be "out of business" and still make money! Shit right now I have 4 Banshee engines need porting, Two auto trannys, 3 sets of Pipes paid for and probably 3 more soon. Two crank rebuilds and a few cylinders to bore. Not including a few local ATVs for repair. Great being out of business. So what brings me here, now? Well, like I said to talk shit. I guess I need to build a new inframe pipe. Rumor has it right now is the right time to do this, and this is the place to do it. Shit I still have about 50 sets of the old inframe stampings in boxes from years ago. Even though I have built probably 40 sets of Hand Rolled Inframe pipes in the last ten years. I guess The HQ crew want the stamped pipes. I think I will weld up an old stamping and make some dyno runs so I know what I'm up against. Next project on agenda. New name for this inframe stamping. This will be in contest form. Like you come up with a name that everyone likes and I will use it, and you win something. Cool enough? Look for a post in this sponsor spotlight. Next project. To blow up this sponsor spotlight forum. I need to make this the place to be! It wont be fair if I am the only one talking shit. Look for a post on that topic also.

Troll? Been called worse for sure. Really I was hoping to get a good conversation going. Maybe I started off TOO dumb? The "racing gears" is part of a true story. I might have made up the rest. Looks like this has turned into a guessing game now. Should be easy. There is only one O.G. I've been around from the begining. Here and there for sure, but need to make an appearance.
-
So, I called one of the numbers on one of the banner ads and told the guy I was looking for some power bands for my banshee. He asked what kind I wanted and I said "racing bands I guess". He said "sure, can you install these yourself?" I said "probably I built a quad with Legos once". Anyway, he sold me a new set of bands and a boost bottle. Man I can't wait!
-
Just picked up an older banshee and the guy told me it already had racing gears in it but if I put new power bands in it, it would really wake it up. This thing really rips now! I can't imagine with power bands!
